Baby Bailey Has Arrived

Our daughter Bailey Marie Heath entered this world April 10, 2009 at 1:29pm weighing 7lb 7oz.  She has been a joy!  Labor and delivery were truly a blessing and went exceptionaly well.  Check out the online photo album, I have been continusley adding photos to this album.

A couple fun weekends: Vaucluse Spring B&B and Cherry Blossom Festival

We’ve had a couple of very fun weekends.  Fred and I stayed at The Inn at Vaucluse Spring B&B as a final get-away before Bailey arrives.  It was a last minute trip, we had a wonderful time!  While in the area we visited Skyline Caverns.

Then the next weekend Fred, Terra and I ventured into DC to view the budding Cherry Blossoms, they were beautiful.

Bailey’s Nursery

READY FOR BABY!  We finished the nursery last week (first picture).  We were so blessed by all of the gifts from our friends and family that really helped make the room come together, and have gotten us ready for Bailey.  The art over the crib was created by my sister Terra.  It’s amazing!  Its part painting /part material.  Some of the material in it is material that my Nana is using to make Bailey a quilt!  The art over the changing table is a piece made by a good friend, Jamie, at work.  At my work shower they asked the women to write blessings to Bailey on pink circles then Jamie took the circles and made the art that you see in the picture.  The art that is over the light switch was created by my friend Barbara especially for Bailey Marie Heath (BMH).  I had a lot of fun putting up the dandelion wall decal, with the help of Terra. We also have the pack n’ play/bassinette/changing table, infant and toddler strollers and highchair set up and ready for use.  Now all we need is Bailey (only 5 more weeks until April 5).  Thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way!

My 27th Birthday

27th BIRTHDAY PHOTOS
I had an amazing birthday this year!! And it all started in December when my parents celebrated with me before I left Michigan. Then on my actual b-day Fred woke me up with a special candle lit birthday muffin and balloon.  Then my girlfriends from work took me out to lunch at Macaroni Grill.  When I arrived back at the office my team had a cake, balloons and card waiting for me. Then Fred and Terra took me out to dinner at a really fun restaurant called Blue Ridge Grill. And that was just the beginning because Fred took me to a B&B that he had booked The Carriage Inn in West VA. It was amazing, Fred booked the room that had ’special privileges’ so we got breakfast in bed, had a stocked fridge and a fire place and Jacuzzi. We went to our first horse race ever (didn’t bet) but it was so much fun to take pictures of the horses and jockeys. Hope you enjoy the PICTURES.

CHRISTMAS 2008 PHOTOS

We had a great Christmas and New Years in Michigan this year (as with all years). It was wonderful to spend 2 weeks with family and enjoy the Alpine Winter Wonderland that is Gaylord, MI.  I was thrown a baby shower while I was home and it was so fun to have the group of long time friends and family present.  It was so special to me all of the planning that was put into it.  My sister came up with the idea of having everyone ‘design’ onesies and baby shirts for Bailey, that was such a special treat.  Hope you enjoy the PHOTOS.

Thanksgiving Trip to L’Auberge Provencal B&B

THANKSGIVING PHOTOS

Last weekend Fred and I went to a Bed and Breakfast for Thanksgiving. The Rohrer family watched Mocha for us, which was a great gift. We stayed two nights at an amazing French B&B called L’Auberge Provencal. Everything about it was truly great: from our room with a fireplace sitting area and huge aromatherapy shower to the 3 course breakfasts that we were treated to. On the first morning when we entered the restaurant for breakfast they told us to go ahead and get food from the fruit and pastry bar and that then they would bring out our entrees. After serving ourselves from the fruit bar I took a picture of Fred in the beautiful dining room with the sun coming out. Once I sat down I told him that I was going to label that picture our appetizers before our entrees for breakfast. Just as I finished that statement the B&B hostess set down, in front of each of us, baked pink grapefruits with melted butter and brown sugar and told us to enjoy our appetizers… so I guess the fruit bar treats could be categorized as h’ordeurves Fun. It was so fun being served breakfast from an amazing French chief. We had fun exploring the area and driving around with in the mountains and valley. Though we missed being home with family the weekend was a great Thanksgiving treat before the busyness of the holidays start. We hope you enjoy our PICTURES.

Our Baby Girl!

We found out last week that we are having a baby girl! She is right on track, healthy and developing wonderfully. She was super active as we were getting our sonogram so we got to see her moving all over, opening her mouth and closing it and moving her hands and feet and spine… what a blessing new life is! I’ve posted the sonograhm pictures online. Above you can see the side of her face and in the second picture you can see her little feet.

I love old photos! I have been blessed to have been given some of our old family photos from both sets of grandparents. I have had these photos locked away in a special drawer in my desk and look at them from time to time and decided it was time to share some of them on-line. I adore the photos of my parents as kids, especially as I am preparing to have my own child I wonder if he/she (we now know it is a ’she’ ) will look anything like the images captured in these photos of my parents. I also treasure the photo of my Great Great Great Grandmother (the last one posted above). I wish I knew what year it was taken! The photos in this ALBUM are mostly of my parents when they were kids and my grandparents when they were first married. The first pictures are of my dad growing up and the last pictures are of my mom.
